Foundation

The De Brabandt Foundation is the quiet engine behind The Blank Compass, where legacy becomes lived impact.

Established as a Switzerland-based family foundation, it is built on decades of trust and long-standing relationships that span local communities, cultural institutions, and governmental entities.

The team has engaged itself in more than fifty initiatives across five continents, from the far western reaches of the Galápagos to the eastern edge of Papua New Guinea - working quietly where trust must be earned, and presence carries responsibility.

The foundation anchors journeys in real places, real people, and real responsibility - transforming access into understanding, and presence into participation.

Through this bridge, The Blank Compass moves beyond observation, allowing travel to engage directly with culture, stewardship, and lasting change on the ground.
